– Don’t get caught up in trying to win him over. Don’t post pictures on Instagram hoping he’ll see, don’t do things to get his attention, don’t put on a show when you see or speak to him where you act like something you’re not in an attempt to win him back. Doing these things makes it all about him, and you’re supposed to be focusing on you right now! Live life for yourself, not for the sake of trying to get him back.

Since it has been 6 months, he may have gotten used to the idea of life without you. That doesn’t mean however that he’s moved on. It isn’t hopeless but if you really do want him back, you would have to re-create the spark with him so that he would fall for you once more.

Think about why you want him back. Breakups are never easy, even when the relationship was not a good fit. For this reason, it’s crucial to think about your motives for wanting to get your boyfriend back. If you want to get back together because you are sad or lonely or don’t like being single, you should probably reconsider. Just because you miss your ex does not mean you should be with him. These feelings will go away eventually, although it may take some time. If you want to get back together because you genuinely care for your ex and you can see yourself having a future with him, then go ahead and try to get him back![2]

Once the text is sent, only wait for a reply. Do not keep texting him back until he answers you. If you don’t get a reply, that is fine. It may be just that he wasn’t expecting a text from you and he doesn’t know how to respond.

4. Do some meditation. Be aware of yourself. Know your weaknesses and strengths. Be proud of yourself. Accept yourself for who you are. That’s what confidence is all about. Neediness (which is very unattractive) comes from doubts within yourself. Whereas confidence comes from awareness and accepting yourself.

Some people may have valid, sincere reasons for wanting to get back with their ex while others are simply going through the motions and feeling the normal emotions that can be experienced with such a loss.

Hi EBR Team, My ex-bf and I were in a serious relationship for 4 years and were planning our wedding. A month ago he said he doesn’t think he can marry me because of our different cultures. He also said he doesn’t want mixed children anymore and his family is embarrassed of my dark skin colour. We broke up and I implemented no contact for 30 days, where I was improving every day and posting.

i am an 18 year old male, i broke up with my ex girlfriend almost 3 months ago, we was together almost 5 years, we had a strong bond but we went through an unfortunate abortion, during this situation she got attached to the baby im her stomach but wasnt finacially stable to take care of a child, her anxiety got really bad and she pushed me away and wouldnt let me near her, after almost a month of this she broke up with me stating that she had lost feelings and doesnt want to be with me anymore, we have broken up and got back together alot in the past, but this time is different, i acted irrational and constantly begged and stated how upset and lonely i was without her, i irratated her to the point of she blocked me on afew social medias, but she left 1 line of communication open via instagram, i often message her but she doesnt reply but she reads the messages, if she doesnt look at the message fast enough i panic and irratate her with more, she then replies with “Go away, leave me alone, move on i want you to” i ask her why we broke up and all she says is ‘everything’ thats all she says, i truley believe there is a chance but she is being too stubon to admit it, im really confused and in a bad place, there was never any cheating, im so worried that the no contact rule will not work, although if it doesnt im still in the same place im in now so what can get worse… i read alot of these getting ex back websites but im never really satisfied with the information as every situation is very different, i really do want her back, and the relationship will be great if i get the chance to reconcile it, im really in need of some help im looking forward to your help and also the no contact daily email help as i need as much help as i can get.

Be there to support him. No matter how much the break-up hurt you, you can make a powerful impression on your guy by putting past feelings aside at critical moments and stepping up as a supportive friend. But also make him realize that support is more limited now that he’s just a friend. Try to be the one to end phone conversations, for example. Let him fondly recall the times when he enjoyed your limitless support.

Let the conversation naturally progress. If your ex is doing great and reports that he or she is seeing other people, you might decide not to waste your time trying to convince him or her to get back together. But if your ex seems to harbor feelings for you, you can gradually bring up the possibility of giving things another try.

“Six months after the breakup, I remember waking up and just feeling like I was finally over my relationship of over two years. It probably helped that I recently got a message from another guy I was crushing on before I started dating my ex asking if I wanted to meet him for coffee. The timing was perfect, and I started dating that guy soon after.” —Sandra R.

If you haven’t already noticed from my silly Yoda reference above I am a bit of a nerd. One of my favorite series of movies to watch is the dark knight trilogy (Batman, hey some kids never grow up ? .) In the third installment of the series, The Dark Knight Rises, Bruce Wayne is a recluse at the beginning of the movie. Now, if I was consulting him on how to get over an ex I would have slapped him upside the head.

My situation is similar but weird at the same time. We had a really good relationship and we’re together for about a year but he has two children and their mother has caused so many issues since we have been together. Long story short, he’s in a lot of debt (monthly child support included), works all the time, and feels like he’s made so many mistakes and isn’t where he wants to be in life. So he basically told me that being in a relationship isn’t what he supposed to do right now and he needs time to himself to get his life back on track. So we haven’t spoken (no contact initiated by either one of us) since Mother’s Day. My instinct is telling me that he’s being truthful and just let him go completely and things will work out but it’s just a sad ordeal all together.

We’re not exactly thrilled that Rihanna and Chris Brown are reportedly dating again (give us your take below), but we’ve got to admit: They both pressed hard to be together again. If you’re looking to reunite with an ex, follow our six-step plan for a second chance at romance.

Some of us have our ability to love relatively intact, while others are dominated by fear. So much so that love itself triggers fear within deep, phylogenetic, primitive and unconscious areas of the brain.

If the deal breaker was unrelated to the couple (like a job or just a minor misunderstanding), it’s possible things might work out if the situation changes. But if you broke up because of individual differences or cheating, hon, you should think twice before getting involved with the same person again.

honestly I did not show appreciation to my ex while we together. I missed valentines day and his birthday. when I decided to make the best of times with him it was to late. then I asked him for closure and he came talked in person. I told what if I got therapy because there is something going on that effects my relationships. he told its been three weeks and I’m over you….. I cried of course then looked at him and said I feel better. just got sick of being sad, doesn’t mean I’m over him. but its step. then I told me what was really going on and told he’s proud of me said I’m strong person and good girl. he told me to feel free to talk to him and said he wont be jerk to me. he also wants to improve. it sucks that I was to occupied with other stuff in life that i didn’t learn to understand him but oh well. that doesn’t mean has feelings for me. sadly I cant live in world that revolves around him I must create my own world and keeping living up to my goals. this relationship may have been painful but helped realize what I need. we are blind from pain because only look at the bad qualities that it brings us but we all need realize its actually beautiful because it shapes us. I’m going to embrace it this break up..

If you want a good relationship with your ex boyfriend, you need to have some respect for you, but this doesn’t mean you need to become arrogant to create some pride for yourself. You need to patch up things with your ex boyfriend with a bit of pride and dignity. Treat yourself with as much as respect that you want from your ex.

On Valentine’s Day it was 21th day of NC and I hadn’t heard from him over a month. I posted on Facebook a picture of heart shaped cupcakes that were baked by me. I can’t believe he liked that picture. I have been really active on Facebook lately and I am sure he had seen most of my posts but now..after a month it is a first time I get this little sign of him. I assume it must be a good sign. Gosh I can’t believe he still has a strong effect on me

Evelyn, a collegiette from Amherst College, says that although it can take a lot of self-discipline, going on a digital hiatus for a while can be a great way to get over him. “When my ex and I broke up, I made a pact with myself that I’m not allowed to Facebook stalk him until I can be 100 percent sure that I won’t care if I see pictures of him with another girl (which will probably be in like another 5 years),” Evelyn says. “I still haven’t gone on his profile once!”

I had to end relationship up with my girlfriend (5 years living together) due the fact she found another man to entertain her and she was not willing to make the decision: me or other guy. I tried this no contact rule and she keeps calling and texting me once a day (or so). If I did not answer her contacts, she is getting very upset and sends me irritating messages (like blaming me that I can’t be trusted in serious situations). If I answer her because I assume that there was a really serious reason that she would call me, but there isn’t. If we talk about weather and general stuff, it is fine. If or conversation goes to us or our past, she gets upset and tries to end the call. Last conversation she hinted me that if I would not call her more occasionally, I would waste my opportunity. She even encouriged to call her any time.

One thing I know that he loves his daughter so much. Whatever he does for her only. He felt guilty about his divorce because his daughter is not living with her parents in the same house. And more thing I know his ex-wife had another man for years, she left him because of this man.

No. You shouldn’t answer your ex’s call. The only exception to this is if you are close to ending your no contact and you are already feeling great about your life. If you think that talking to your ex will have you obsessing about them again, don’t answer their call.

when she came back for the Xmas/new year, we saw, she asked me to bring over food and drinks on Xmas day, I did, I kissed her but lightly, and said our good nights, cause I didn’t want to push it far.

You’re putting yourself in the friendzone and agreeing to him that you will talk months from now looks like you’re just there waiting for him and chasing… Restart nc, do at least 45 days..move on without totally moving on, and then slowly build rapport while continuing your life… Don’t ask him if you still have a chance sooner or later…

I’m been in a pain for my girlfriend lied to me because she want money I give her money after that all she cheated me but now I’m so happy about the guidance I have read I move on with my life not someone life

Given the circumstances, even if he moves on and dates someone else, he would not be happy and the same issues would occur. If he is genuinely depressed that it’s affecting his happiness and daily life, you should strongly recommend he seeks help and go through therapy to recover as ‘being there’ alone would not be enough.

All of this makes sense, but for me the question of the day is: how does being happy and “on the market” help if he’s not in the right place to be in a relationship because he’s not “winning” at life?
