Stepback: The one thing that has saved millions of relations since from the very long past, is stepping back. If your partner is in severe mental pressure and trying to suppress you, just let it go. Step back for a second and move somewhere else separate.

Hey I’ve been in a relationship for 5 years n things went down hill it’s been 2 weeks since I’ve had contact with I really miss him n wants him back what should I do should I continue the NC rule for 2 more weeks n what should I text him after that

This ties back into the first mistake – except instead of convincing him to get back together with you by putting up with his bad behavior, you’re trying to convince him to get back together by showering him with affection.

Don’t be over-the-top in flooding your ex with dating requests, but put yourself out there and apologize often. Go out of your way to do something he will appreciate. And again, let him know you screwed up.

7 days ago he broke up with me. Reason for breaking up was that he doesn’t have time for me, that he isn’t sure what he wants, maybe it’s other girls, but he has everything he wants with me, so he needs time to think. But I think that he has someone else now.

My bf split up with me last week after 2.5 years living together. We were committed to each other and always were making plans for the future. This article really resonated with me as I can see where things went wrong perhaps (I have been confused all week) I feel I pushed him away by trying to get it to go in a certain way (ie pressuring him about children – but then feeling like we came to agreement) I am 36 and had come out of a toxic marriage when we met. I then got made redundant he had two lots of sugery on his hand and then I had a brain haemorrhage! All within 3 months! We then spent 3 months recovering together with each other everyday meaning that sex was off the table as we were both too ill and the fun disappeared. I felt it was just about getting back to normal and starting doing what we used to. He then started acting very distant and said he didn’t know what was wrong and that he didn’t want to break up. I then started feeling incredibly vulnerable and probably a bit needy as I felt everything in my life was slipping through my fingers. And then he ended it. I’m in shock I feel that a combination of stress and situation has pushed him away from me and I’ve lost him forever. I felt we were so solid and committed and now he says there’s something missing and we can never go back. Is there any hope?

Beware Of The “I Want What I Can’t Have” Syndrome- This particular piece of advice probably should have gone higher on this page. Sometimes a select group of women will want their ex boyfriend back once they see him with someone new. If you find that you are in this situation be very careful about proceeding to get him back. You may need to go back and do some serious searching on whether or not you want him back for a legitimate reason.

When any man cheats it doesn’t mean he finds someone prettier than you instead it means he found interest and admiration from new girl that you once showed to him. Your boyfriend wants to get admired for what he currently is and also he wants to get respect from you. It doesn’t mean you disrespect him instead it means you failed to show him respect that he wants from you.

Hang in there. Sometimes people go back to their ex because they are unable or don’t want to find someone new to rebound, so they try things out again with their ex. But most likely, your ex is probably rebounding with her ex. Focus on your anxiety and calming yourself down, and just pick yourself back up, before you consider anything again in the future.

I came across this article during my midnight panic attack. It hits all the points that I need to move on but it is really easier say then done. My ex broke up with me 12 yrs ago. All these years I thought he left me of stress and still think about me. It didnt bother me until now I m 34 when I “woke up” from my major depression knowing that I had isolated myself, left with a few friends, havent done much in life. Having to face the reality is painful. Realizing the only person that you thought still thinks about actually regret being with you hurts even more. Maybe an article on how to motivate to love yourself will be useful as well.

My suggestion is to complete 30 days of No Contact and spend this time to focus on all these things you’ve mentioned. Once you’ve picked yourself up from this and think you’ve at least improved from the last time she saw you, then you could contact her again if you really want her back.

If you don’t focus on this section, then it is possible you can make one of the two mistakes while planning your ‘FIXIT’ date. It would be a crime if you take this date too seriously, but you don’t have to take it too lightly as well.
