The next day i was quite confused and needed answers I texted and asked could we meet and talk face to face or via phone. He stated he was not ready to talk and needed time. I texted and said thanks I now know where I stand and wished him the best of luck in the future. He said thanks and he would be back to his normal self soon.
We can all be the master of our own domains. It’s just a matter of thinking differently and reframing certain things in ways that allow us to communicate emotionally in a much more efficient fashion. It’s comparable to learning a new language, say Spanish or French. But this language is emotional and you need a different kind of eyeglasses to speak this fluently.
Remember, the no contact rule isn’t about him, it’s about you. You’re not cutting off contact to try to spite him, you’re giving yourself time and space to heal from the breakup – just like you’re giving him time and space to start missing you again.
Hi I have dated my bf for 3 years he broke up with me this Saturday. And I’m heart broken. I love him so much, he broke up with me because there was drama going on between me and him and another guy there a guy that likes me and my bf think I liked him but I don’t and I keep on telling him that but he doesn’t believe me. But then the guy is trying to break us up so then he can have me but i keep on telling him I don’t like u in that way I love my boy and I never want to leave him. So now I’m really sad. Now he just got a new gf for now but Is there a way I can get him back in my life I want him back
In this beautifully written essay, Dr. Braucher compellingly argues that when we lose a lover and a loving relationships, we also part with an important part of ourselves. In order to stay connected to that loved and loving aspect of who we are, many of us maintain emotional bonds to our ex-lovers through memory.
Truth 1: Not contacting your ex is a must. Not only should you have implemented the No Contact Rule but you need to stay strong. Getting mad, breaking down and texting your ex a hateful message about his new girlfriend isn’t going to help your ultimate goal is it? Instead, be cool and don’t worry, every dog has it’s day.
Second of all, if you truly accidentally bump into him, then here’s exactly what to do. Be upbeat, positive, and in a good mood while you’re talking to him. Let him lead the conversation and pick the subjects, and whatever you do don’t bring up relationships or your relationship with him.

The weird part was when I had one guy leave me as soon as I had another he got jealous. He was so pissed he set his carpet on fire. I usally do the break ups but when he broke up I went with another guy I wasn’t realy all that interested in. I basiclly went with him because I was bored. Needless to say it was interesting when his brother told me the guy was so pissed he set the carpet on fire, I told him the truth and we got back together. I’m not sure how long it lasted but he and I stayed friends after I broke up this time. The last I heard he had issues with his life. Oh well boys will be boys I wonder what Eric thinks of that.
I was with my ex on and off for 6 years. In the first year of our relationship he cheated and we ended our relationship. After a few months he contacted me and we tried to work things out. Things were great for just over a year but ultimately I wasn’t able to let go of his previous infidelity and we’d had a big argument and he left. We split up for nearly 9 months (we had no contact in this time and he’d been seeing someone else) until I contacted him to see how he was and we got back together again. This time we became engaged and he was living with me and my son (from a previous relationship). We were together this time for a year and a half and then had a big fight. Seemed significant at the time but ridiculous now. He did his disappearing act again and about a month later he contacted me begging to come home. This time I wouldn’t let him come back . I wanted him to make changes to his behaviour and I wasn’t ready to repeat our historical pattern. We’ve been apart for a year and a half but have remained in contact with each other. Two months ago he told me he was moving to a new town for a new job and how he needed a change. He said me and my son played heavy on his mind before making his decision but that he felt I had given up on him so he decided to go. This made me start to question my resistance on letting him back in my life and I started to think about him constantly. I recently discovered through social media that he’s seeing someone new and I’m heartbroken all over again because he’s moving on without me. For the most part we always had a great relationship. We grew stronger after getting over the initial cheating and we were both generally happy together. My son and I both miss him terribly and I’d like to see if he feels we have something worth saving but don’t know if I should try contacting him or let him go in case he’s happier in his new relationship. Feeling totally confused.
Just one question for you. I have the routine you’ve explained above down to a science. But the thing I struggle with is what do I do when he reaches out…because they always do. Do I ignore his messages temporarily? Until he apologizes? Forever? Do I respond politely but indifferently? Just when I want to?
Apologize if you hurt him. If you did anything at all to hurt your ex-boyfriend, whether you said something that offended him or you weren’t there for him in a time of need, it’s time to apologize. It takes great strength to offer a sincere apology, but it will go a long way in helping you repair your relationship.
My ex boyfriend of 3 years and I broke up about 5 months ago, he blocked me off everything, reason why he broke up with me was because of distance (he didn’t have a car anymore), he wanted to concentrate on school and wasn’t looking to get a girlfriend or anything like that. The break up was extremely ugly. I notice on social media a week afterwards he posted someone’s initials with a heart next to it which I thought he did purposely for me to see but fast forward to now about to be 5 months later and I thought I have moved on, I found out he’s got a new girlfriend around the time we broke up. In the photos they look happy. The first photo date goes far back a month after which at that time we were in the texting phase (which he was flirty) before he randomly blocked me again. Since then, no word. After finding out the break up excuse was a lie and he had someone ready for when he dropped me, it opened up the same wound and I feel extremely hurt that he lied to me. When I think back about the end, everything was adding up and he confused me by acting as if no one else was in the picture. I’m also meeting his mother for lunch this Sunday since she wants to catch up and give me my things back that he refuses to meet me to do. I feel I’m going to cry and I have no control over my emotions anymore. And it hurts that despite all this, I still care for him. I can’t get how he can quickly move on.
hi my ex broke up with me about a week ago, but she still lives with me, we help each other out financially until i get another job after christmas, shes going out meeting new guys now, how should i conduct the no contact rule in my situation? and what should i do whilst shes here?
You can heal all the hurts and pains that your relationship caused, bringing out a better version of yourself. Once there is already an improved version of yourself, you can start assessing whether you are ready to make the move to win him back.
Because of that, I’ve compiled a list of ways to move on when you’re still in love with your ex. Yes, it hurts to move on, but trust me when I say that it’ll hurt even more if you keep holding on to the past. Here’s how to move on from your ex boyfriend:
There is nothing more attractive to a guy than a woman who has a good vibe. Women who have a genuinely good vibe are more attractive to guys than any woman with a bad vibe, even if she’s got super-model looks.
Being proactive about your breakup early on will help prepare you for the later stages. Learn which are best techniques for getting your ex’s attention back, and for quickly making him need you again.
Hi Natasha! You’re awesome! My boyfriend broke up with me, and I’m feeling terrible… my question is, my bf was not a narcissist.. I made mistakes and I started to pushing him because he lived with his mother, he is 39… and I’m 31 and I didn’t felt his priority, we had plans to get married, I’m applying no contact since he broke up with me, I didn’t begged him and I was calm, that was almost a month ago and he hasn’t reach me…. do you think that this works for a man who is not a narcissist? He is not a bad guy. [otp_overlay]
