My ex had consistently chased me for 6 years throughout the whole of school and after, we were always really close friends and i was always too afraid to progress further incase that friendship got ruined. Even in his one other long term relationship he admitted to still always wanting to be with me and even throughout the good times with his ex he still imagined doing those things with me instead. Then after going through a hard time with a previous ex myself and having him support me we began to get close again and eventually ended up starting a relationship. And while at first i was slightly unsure about it, it quickly became clear it was the best decision i’d ever made, he was so madly in love with me and for the first time i felt so confident that someone felt like the luckiest person alive to be with me. He absolutely adored me and treated me like a queen. 2 and a half years later, and only just coming back off a wonderful week long holiday together with his family.. out of the blue, it’s over. Seeming in a bit of a bad mood one day i asked him if he was okay or if i’d done something and got the ‘we need to talk’ text. My stomach immediately dropped and i felt sick, but didn’t want to jump to conclusions and assume the worst. He came over that evening and told me he thought things had changed and that for weeks he’d had this feeling of that ‘sometimes’ he just wants to be my friend. Sometimes?! Even though that morning he’d commented on how it was our anniversary and 2 days previously we had even been on a date night where he’d complained because i had red lipstick on meaning he couldn’t kiss me and asked me to sit next to him in the bar instead of opposite him so he could put his arm around me, not really ‘i just want to be your friend behaviour’ right?

i am an 18 year old male, i broke up with my ex girlfriend almost 3 months ago, we was together almost 5 years, we had a strong bond but we went through an unfortunate abortion, during this situation she got attached to the baby im her stomach but wasnt finacially stable to take care of a child, her anxiety got really bad and she pushed me away and wouldnt let me near her, after almost a month of this she broke up with me stating that she had lost feelings and doesnt want to be with me anymore, we have broken up and got back together alot in the past, but this time is different, i acted irrational and constantly begged and stated how upset and lonely i was without her, i irratated her to the point of she blocked me on afew social medias, but she left 1 line of communication open via instagram, i often message her but she doesnt reply but she reads the messages, if she doesnt look at the message fast enough i panic and irratate her with more, she then replies with “Go away, leave me alone, move on i want you to” i ask her why we broke up and all she says is ‘everything’ thats all she says, i truley believe there is a chance but she is being too stubon to admit it, im really confused and in a bad place, there was never any cheating, im so worried that the no contact rule will not work, although if it doesnt im still in the same place im in now so what can get worse… i read alot of these getting ex back websites but im never really satisfied with the information as every situation is very different, i really do want her back, and the relationship will be great if i get the chance to reconcile it, im really in need of some help im looking forward to your help and also the no contact daily email help as i need as much help as i can get.

I still strongly believe that nowadays text messages are by far the best way to make your first move. It’s subtle yet can still deliver a strong communication. Plus, it’s harder to screw up a text than by saying something wrong over a phone call or face to face meet up. It’s also easier for a man to read your emotions by voice. A simple text will go a long ways and have him begging for more. You will still keep the upper hand this way.

7 days ago he broke up with me. Reason for breaking up was that he doesn’t have time for me, that he isn’t sure what he wants, maybe it’s other girls, but he has everything he wants with me, so he needs time to think. But I think that he has someone else now.

Don’t overdo it! You don’t want to scream that you have been looking for attention from him and come off the wrong way. Just wear something you know you look good in but something that you are also comfortable in and could wear out normally.

When you are in a serious relationship with someone it can sometimes feel like you are giving a part of your soul over to them. You are trusting that person to be careful with it, to ensure that it is protected at all times. When the person (who you gave your soul to) decides it is best to break up you will probably be left with an empty feeling.

I’m a very optimistic and I reply to your message with hope that time does help because things change. What you thought was real changes.. I was so mad when I found this out because it’s so cynical and it really ruined my perception of everything but it has helped force me to move on. My ex was in a relationship with one of his former girlfriends 2 weeks after we broke up. At first I was sure it was textbook rebound because she was so available to him. Then, after a few days, I realized she wasn’t his consolation prize, she was his preference. It tore me apart. I questioned everything. Now I believed he loved me very much when he did and all of our decisions for breaking up are still true but he left out that he was breaking up with me so that he could date her because I was too hard, our relationship was too hard and the future was going to be too much change for him. I knew who she was. She would text him occasionally. I wasn’t threatened by her because we were so strong but we were doing 3hr long distance and he would have had to change his entire life for me. It’s so Hubbell (from Sex and the City, season 2 finale). She’s easy, simple, not complicated. Things just got too hard with me. I have responsibilities, a real job (engineer), a child, a mortgage, and passion for living a meaningful life. He fell out of love with me in the last month. I saw the signs. I felt the distance growing. I just thought it was the honeymoon phase ending and time for us to inject some new passion in the next month. I didn’t get a next month. She pulled him away from me. Once I was able to accept the new reality of why we ended, I am able to move on a lot quicker. He had no intentions of hurting me. He didn’t know he would fall out of love with me. He’s just doing what is best for him. That’s just the direction his life wants to take him. If he wants small town, simple, and boring then he’s not the man for me. I hate the idea of starting over. I hate the idea of having to be with someone other than him but he is not meant for me. Deep in my heart I know this but I still grieve the loss of love occasionally but it’s gotten much better and I can look forward a little more than before. It’s terrifying to think that anyone we give our heart to can just decide they don’t want it anymore. But in the end what can you really do? You shouldn’t change who you are, what you need, what your standards are, or how you act to keep love. All you can do is share your love and the right person won’t let it go. It never works until it finally does. Be the person you want to be every day of your life and someone will want to share it with you. 95% of the population gets married in their lifetime. 95%! My ex of 1 year of my life. Just a fraction of the whole journey.

Hi Maj!! Thank you!! I like you too ? I have too much to say to type it all out, but if it’s an emotionally unavailable and/or narcissistic person that you’re referring to, they will be the same way that they were before and control will be the priority. BIG love and hugs to you! xo

Last April we had a falling out when he started dating this girl. Didn’t talk at all for 2 months. And only here and there to get a couple of my things when he moved. Early September they broke up and he messaged me. We talked and he told me how lonely he’s felt and that he’s been living a forced life and missed having a connection. We hung out once. They then got back together after a couple days and he blocked me on just about everything. I was able to speak with him once and he did that to try not to be tempted with me. He unblocked and refriended me aftee that. But it sounds like his gf is emotionally abusive and controlling. He told me he’s not allowed to talk to girls especially exes and he has to make her happy. And that he can’t talk to me bc he didn’t want to get “stabbed”. I’ve never heard him sound so defeated.

Him breaking up with me taught me to love myself and now I understand that I don’t need someone else to be happy. Wow, even right now I’m still in a state of ecstasy and I’m overjoyed that I managed to get my lover back. If I can do this so can you, everyone has got the power .

im doing the same thing you’ll do now your not alone i know it hurts but that what u should do, let him lose you and thinks hes a failure dont allow him to think he can play with your feelings, your not his toy if he cant decide what he wants then leave him to grom up and make decisions in life, hes immature and you did the right thing your so smart of going no contact and standing on what you want bravo, now do not let him take advantage and decide what he wants do what you want, you want him as a bf he didnt respect that he wants friends you dont so bye to him and lifes always comes around believe me one day he’ll come begging to have you back.

Allow yourself to heal and forget about all the negative things that happened to you before. Note that you will have a hard time getting back together and attaining success when attempting to give romance a second chance if you do not truly forgive each other.

Learning to forgive and make peace with things that happened in the past can happen more easily when you take your focus off of the specific events that occurred and instead try to see the perspective of the people involved. Most people don’t act with the intention of directly hurting someone else; generally, they make choices intending to make themselves feel better. For better or worse, it is in our nature as human beings to operate from our own self-beneficial perspective and the impact of our actions on others is often a secondary consideration. It doesn’t make it right, but sometimes seeing someone else’s perspective can help you understand the events that unfolded better and make them less personal. It can also be easier to forgive someone when you see them as a whole person. If you find yourself stewing in anger over something that someone else did or didn’t do, try to pull back and remember the good qualities you saw in them when you first met, and recognize that we all have flaws and we all make mistakes.

Trying to convince your ex why he should come back just pushes him further away. It reinforces why he’s better off without you, because you appear needy and desperate and like you haven’t heard anything he’s tried to communicate. Needy and desperate are traits that will kill any attraction any man may have for you.
