After a week of no real communication we got together for a chat where he said that he didn’t want to cut me completely out of his life but didn’t want a full-on relationship at the moment but proposed that we began dating again to see if we could “reignite the spark” with no real idea of where it might lead. It could lead to us getting back together it might not… but we would be exclusive to each other .
Im a 35 female and was dating a 36 Year guy for three months. We met through a dating app. We had previously dated 2 years ago for a few months but things fizzled out. He lives an hour and a half away from me, We were in contact daily via texts and saw each other approx once every 7-10 days.
If you and your ex were in any type of serious relationship, then they will not be able to move on so quickly. In fact, no contact is only going to make them miss you more and remember the good things about you. You have to take a leap of faith over here. The alternative to no contact is being a creep and texting and stalking your ex all the time, which will probably lead to a restraining order against you. You really don’t have much of an option.
Are you up to date with the recent trends in dating? Do you still prefer the old-school techniques instead? What are some of the similarities and disparities in dating from different parts of the world? We’re not looking for any long term commitment, mind you.
There’s a likelihood that he may be affected by the break up as much as you, but won’t show it because he doesn’t want you to see him as being weak. If you said that the break up was just as difficult for him as it was for you, then he probably hasn’t moved on completely nor has he lost feelings for you. Also, the reason he gave you seems to come from a lack of self-esteem, and can’t accept the fact that he’s less into you than the other way around. Perhaps you could start off as being friends and letting him develop the feelings or take charge this time.
A few days afterwards, we spoke on the phone for two hours and had a great conversation. We talked for two hours, one about the relationship and what happened, and the other just general talking, laughing, and having fun. A day or two after that, I told her I had a date, to which she got kind of upset but tried to brush it off by acting “happy” even though I heard her cry on the phone. The date ended up being cancelled, but I feel like that might’ve been a step backwards.
If you guys have been broken up for about 2 months since, and she still has not replied you,you might have to consider the fact that she has moved on. If you’re prepared to wait it out and chase her again, then I suggest giving her a little more time before you try reconnecting once again.

I am deeply in love with my ex, and i know he is too. He is just like a girl tho so indecisive. doesnt know what he wants.. he does know he wants me, but he thinks that he cant tell me. he has an issue with expressing his feelings. and he has made me cry, and been a jerk sometimes… but i still love him soo much and dont know what ill do without him.
Alice, Your comment highlights a vital point. Upgrading skills only works if BOTH partners are willing to make skill upgrades. If only the partner of the abuser is making changes, the odds of success are close to zero. Worse, becoming more assertive with a violent partner can be downright dangerous.
True intimacy runs deeper than sex and physical affection. It develops from love, trust, respect and acceptance. Relationships naturally experience ebbs and flows in intimacy, so take this quiz to gauge just how intimate your relationship is.
I am not going to lie to you. I put a lot of work into this page (1 full month to be exact.) I read relationship books, I took notes on speeches that dating experts gave, I bought online products, I listened my friends tell me stories about what they did to reunite with their exes and tested out some of the things I learned.
Yes if you haven’t done NC before, and have still been in contact with him through the 3 months, it might be better to actually proceed with the No Contact rule to separate yourself from the situation.
Tactic 4 is very similar to tactic 3. Except this time instead of slipping in a compliment during a conversation you are going to slip in something that you have always appreciated about your ex. Here is a great example of an appreciation text:
Oh my goodness. You’re literally in the same position I’m in!!! I, too, met this guy online and he was so incredibly sweet the first few times we talked. We had crazy chemistry and almost each time we talked it was so loving and affectionate. He also wrote love songs about me. For literally three months I’ve been planning to visit him. And it never worked out right away. Well, recently he wanted me to see him because he was going to be leaving the country soon for work, and I couldn’t see him due to my overprotective family trying to prohibit me from seeing him because he’s someone I met online. Well, shortly after our phone call…he texted me saying, “Better to have your support from a distance. Lots of love.” I completely broke down. I wish I could just go back in time and change e everything. He blocked my number after I sent him so many loving texts and emails. I just have a feeling he might miss me but I doubt he will ever want me back…but I still believe there could be hope for us. I’m praying everything works out if it’s truly meant to be.
Until maybe the last year everything seemed to changed the way she acted towards me the affection everything she eventually said I should move back to my mums after all this time because it was her house. We havent got back together since I begged her for ages but she wouldn’t have none of it . Then she went on holiday with her mum where we used to go and she messaged me saying she missed me and wanted to sort things out . I waited until she got back but now she has changed her mind again very frustrating she has a busy life with the kids and I no I was quite full on . I have left her alone now for the first time ever its been 4 days and I havent sent a text or a call I’m finding it hard but its my last option . Ive been going out running and trying to focus on me but always thinking about her. we agreed just to be friends but ive always text her in the past hopfully this time I dont and she texts me first.
If you scored 3 or 4 points, it sounds like you may be seeing some warning signs of an abusive relationship. Don’t ignore these red flags. Something that starts small can grow much worse over time. No relationship is perfect, it takes work! But in a healthy relationship, you won’t find abusive behaviors. As he felt stronger, Peter felt less need to rant. No need to play the same recording again and again. Anger begets more anger, and repeatedly reminding himself how bad he felt was making the message ‘a little bit louder and a litte bit worse’ with each go-round.

If you live with the person- Your goal is to be a respectful roommate. Make sure any interactions you do have with the person are short, pleasant and to the point. Make sure you are as positive as possible.
This is the part where most people screw up. No contact will be of no use unless you try to make a positive change in your life during this time. If you just want to stay at home and just be miserable for the next one month, things are not going to change even after no contact period. Yes, you need to grieve after a breakup and yes, there’s some benefit in spending some time alone, grieving and analyzing your relationship. But at some point, you have to go out there and do something with your life.

Your instincts will tell you that if you just agree to everything your ex wants, they will come back. Your instincts will tell you that your needs, your values, your desires, your goals don’t matter. Your instincts will tell you that the only thing that matters is to get your ex back. And for that, you can sacrifice everything.

Notice how I didn’t specify if this friend was a male or female. You just planted a seed of doubt in your ex boyfriends head and now he is going to wonder if you saw a romantic movie with a friend or with a date.
I thought this deserved it’s own section because there is a lot to talk about here. During your no contact period I recommend that you go on a date…. with someone new! Yes, I am saying to go on a date with someone who isn’t your ex. I know you may be a bit hesitant but trust me it’s a smart idea. Here are a few reasons why.

Ouch, I know this one must definitely sting to hear but it is a legitimate REAL reason for why he may have broken up with you. This is a common complaint among men who are dating someone who let themselves go a little bit in the relationship. You may have to put in some extra work here but trust me when I say that your physical appearance is easier to improve than your personality so don’t let his thoughts get to you.
