Unless one problem in the relationship was your independence; you should be more independent than last time. Don’t build your social schedule around your boyfriend’s, and spend more time with friends or just doing your own thing.
The whole coaching session covers how to handle the first contact text message. When I got to the part where Whitney (the woman I was coaching) and I were talking about how to use her knowledge of her ex properly I explained the idea of creating a theme for a text message.
Many women will, unfortunately, experience how excruciatingly painful it can be when you’re still in love with a guy after your relationship has come to an end. There can be a lot of insecurities that can come over you, and the last thing that you want to do is let these feelings win.
I recall a girl I knew who would met guys and have her heart broken./ She would buy champaige and put on rick ashley all night and play his songs over and over”Never gonna gi ve you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna runaround or dessert you. Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye never gonna tell a lie or hurt you!
If your ex boyfriend hurt you either before or during the breakup then it’s important to forgive him for what he did, although that might seem impossible, but you do need to try. Even if your ex boyfriend has done nothing “bad” you still need to forgive him for his part in the breakup of the relationship because it always takes two people to both make and break any relationship. In the same way that you forgive him you also need to forgive yourself and let go of any guilty or negative feelings you might have in relation to the end of your relationship. You’ll be absolutely amazed at the power of forgiveness ladies!
It’s been a little over three months since my ex and I broke up. I’ve completed no contact and given my ex space, a task someone difficult because we work together. I never begged or been pushy did the right moves based on advice given on here and other places. She’s still will barely talk to me and will barely reply to text messages. Typically she’ll reply to the initial message, but getting a second reply doesn’t happen much. Back in September I purchased a Christmas gift for her and even though we broke up I still sent it to her on Friday. She replied thank you for the gift. You didn’t need to. Merry Christmas! Attached to the gift was a clean slate letter. She made no mention of it. I told her she was welcome for the gift. I asked her if she was going to be up for talking soon to clear the air. She never replied back. She isn’t seeing anyone, nor did we have a bad breakup. Since the breakup I have found out that she is mad at me about something I said but I don’t know what I said or who I said it to and she won’t tell me. We’ve had some positive interactions as of late at work, but she’s got a wall so high up now. Where do I go from here? Three months, no contact completed, clean slate letter given, space given, showed activity on social media sites as well and not much recoconcilation has occurred. What can I do? Or is it time to accept the fact that I’m not going to get her back?
I had 3 month long relationship with a guy from a dating site. I have trust problems because of 20 year long marriage in which I was kinda abused. So that is why decided I did not want a serious relationship, only a friend with benefit type of thing. The guy was very polite. We had only kissing on first date and it took a while for him to even ask for it. Later I told him I did not want a serious relationship but it seemed he was hoping in it. We had very strong chemistry. After we had sex he was taken to hospital. It was crazy. I started to feel something however the plan was not that. I have decided to split up with him but someway I was not able. So we were keeping in touch for 1 month then he was released. I did not trust him. First I though even hospital was lie and then I discovered he was texting with others. I tried to get closer to him but he had walls. We had fights since I felt him cold, too rational therefore I got angry towards him and we had awful fights. We split up 3x but it started again. I emphasized that it was only about sex for me but he wanted sg more serious. Once I have seen him to chat with someone else for a long time. I asked him to tell me if he had someone else and let me go since it is too painful this way to me. He told me that there was no anyone else just he did not know where he stood with me since I was working against the relationship. Basically I think I did not know what I wanted and we had walls. Ok. I asked him to start it again. He asked for time and I promised time. So he messaged me but when I wanted to reply I saw he was chatting with someone again and got angry and attacked him. I said really really mean things. He switched off phone. I was thinking I might have hurt him deliberately because I was not brave enough to start sg serious and wanted to get rid of him instinctively. Next day I said sorry. I was feeling really awful about myself. I am not an evil person. But he did not read it (or yes but it was not displayed).
Don’t be too obvious about it. Don’t say, “Don’t you see how I’m no longer jealous when you talk to other girls?” Instead, just don’t look jealous when he talks to other girls, and he’ll figure out the rest.
You have to make sure your ex boyfriend to start contact with you – but keep a balance. It is important to don’t avoid or ignore your ex boyfriend as these are ill feelings. Always try to look cheerful as you came out of breakup and enjoying your life. Allow your ex boyfriend to leave the conversation and let him do most of the work while conversing with you. Think about living with a female roommate.
This is where a guy puts in almost no effort with his girl. He leaves it to her to start the messaging or calling, always. He shows no concern or sympathy for any problems she might be having. He might even fail to initiate sex often through being too chill.
By considering all the factors mentioned here, you will be able to pinpoint the exact way on how to get your ex-boyfriend back when he broke up with you or even if you have lots of issues in the past.
Posting here for sanity. I was moving on and got to a good place and just like herpes he came back. Gave me the line that he has had a really bad week, he wants to talk to me. I ate up that breadcrumb up like my life depended on it. Back to checking up on him on FB, back to checking my email 36376799x a day. Now haven’t heard from him again, but he has time to like sexual garbage on FB and be on FB all.the.time. Pretty sure he is chatting up others, but why do I flipping care? how many more red flags do I need? Moving on….again.
What draws us into bad relationships and keeps us stuck in them for far too long is low self-esteem. We don’t believe we can do better and reason that something is better than nothing so we have nothing to lose. The subconscious is always looking for validation. If you don’t believe you’re good enough, you will continue to date men who make you feel unworthy and you’ll stay because deep down you think this is what you deserve. It isn’t. Until you realize this and work through whatever needs to be worked through, you won’t be able to have a healthy, happy relationship with anyone, be it your ex or some other guy.
(IMPORTANT: You ARE allowed to break the Year Long NC Rule in this case to give your ex their things back (or to get yours) but this is the only case where you are allowed to break NC in this instance.)
I just wanted to acknowledge that this piece of writing was very insightful and inspiring. Sort of the exact words I needed to hear/read in order to put my thoughts into perspective. A good kick in the ass, really. Thank you for writing this!

Friends and family might say things like “You’ll be okay again in 2 or 3 weeks” but the reality is that everyone reading this is different and your recovery time is going to vary too. Some people can get a breakup out of their system in a week or two but with any kind of long-term relationship allow yourself 2 – 3 months to come to terms with what happened. If you get back to normal sooner than that then that’s awesome but in the meantime you give yourself as much time as you need – it’s that simple!
I found out that my ex bf is in a serious committed relationship with his best friend’s sister. They’ve been together for over a year now. He has introduced her to his family and extended family and vice versa. They’re almost living together. I also found out he’s deleted me from facebook. He didnt wish me on my birthday and ignores some of my texts. He has never initiated convo with me since our break up. Should I move on from him? Or is she a rebound.
That was 19days ago. We had a little argument and I stopped talking immediately. I have been going out and posting lots of fun pics and videos for my ex to see. He hasnt contacted me in 19days and neither have I.

Avoid getting too depressed as this might only cause you to have a hard time bringing him back. Work on improving your personality, instead. While you can’t find a magic button, which is useful in getting rid of all your negative memories and thoughts, it is still possible for you to avoid thinking too much about them by surrounding yourself with happy people. Make sure that you do not feel alone during your most trying time.
There are not a lot of worse things in life than having to deal with a breakup from someone you love. Those feelings of hurt and confusion can be overwhelming and downright debilitating at times. The good news is that these feelings don’t have to last long and you can get your ex boyfriend back faster than you might think.
I have a theory about this: when we end a relation ship with someone, we may experience a dreadful feeling due to the lack of serotonin discharges by the brain when hugging, kissing or having sex (or just being with the once special person). And I see this just like a withdrawal of a drug addiction. Which in fact, is a drug processed by the brain.
Being proactive about your breakup early on will help prepare you for the later stages. Learn which are best techniques for getting your ex’s attention back, and for quickly making him need you again.
I currently going thru a separation, my husband left me for a girl with 3 kids and iT has been very hard to get over him. I always have been thinking that its my fault. I tried ti get busy and think about me and my lil one but it just too much sometimes….I think I really need to think about me and how much im worth.
So if you believe that he will not come back to you, then you will get exactly that. If you think that he’s still mad at you or think of you as annoying, you create that version of him who doesn’t like you.
Great article! This guy I have been talking to online and I were in a long distant relationship. We met up every 2-3 months over the past year and talked every day. Recently communication started slowing down and I was getting insecure, we had a huge argument because I accused him of using an online dating site. He was upset I didn’t believe him and we exchanged harsh words via text but he refused to talk about it over the phone. After we ended it in the heat of the argument, he would message me about what travel insurance we used so I could get reimbursed for the trip we were about to go on to see eachother. I would answer calmly… Then the next day he would message about the other trip he booked for my birthday asking which site he used (I’m assuming so he could cancel). I then broke down and said please do not message anymore unless you want to work on us because it hurts me to think we won’t see eachother ever again. I tried initiating the no contact rule… But I broke down and said I still miss you handsome then asked him a question about something else random not the relationship. He ignored both and I asked why he was ignoring me and he said because he was busy at work. Which makes sense! Then recently we spoke when I was at a girls weekend and he said “Do you miss me?” I took this as he was trying to string me along and made a sassy response back…then I was upset and started going off on hurt I was… He ignored all those texts and the next day I started a different convo not about our relationship which he didn’t ignore then I ended it with how I love him and I do miss him and I’m sorry he said “Give me time and I might forgive you”. So I left it at that… But I am confused does that mean he just wants me to move on? He isn’t cutting off communication and usually when he ignores me is when I keep talking about us and ending and the argument.
Also, ensure that you agree about not bringing up the same issues and problems that triggered your break-up and the failure of your relationship in the past. Work on ensuring that your previous issues will never interfere your new relationship.
“I’m told that there are two people who have created this negative dynamic, and yet I feel like the only person being punished here. I’m locked out of my own house, living in a small lousy room away from my things, my comforts, my bed, and my wife, the only person who means anything to me in Denver. I am living like a gypsy …
When I met my wife and we started texting back and forth I got that giddy feeling of euphoria. In fact, that’s how I knew that I was falling for her. Whenever I got a text from someone I automatically wanted it to be from her.

Right now, your number one priority isn’t “what is he thinking?” It is to heal from the breakup. Essentially in this case it is ok to be a little selfish and not think of your exes feelings. After all, this isn’t even about his well being it’s about yours.
