Well, you know, every situation is different, but there are some common threads that typically are woven into most relationships.
Once in a while a guy will leave for a prettier girl, or a more popular girl, but in those cases I would suggest that your relationship was little more than a surface one, if that. Something deeper is unlikely to be broken by something as superficial as transitory looks or popularity.
If you really had a relationship with your boyfriend and not just a passing fling then it is possible to get your boyfriend back. The is going to be figuring out why he left.
Do you really want your boyfriend back?
Before you waste any of your time (life!) and energy working to get your ex-boyfriend back, ask yourself if that is what you really want.
Make sure you are not just angry that he is the one who ended it or that you are jealous he is dating someone else.
Ask yourself what it is about him that you really need in your life and that missing him is not just a temporary thing.
What to do to get him back
Remember that to get this guy back you do not want to lower yourself in any way. You are a worthwhile person with your own outer and inner beauty with something to offer. You are as much a prize for him as he is for you.
So NO BEGGING!
Never beg a guy to take you back; that lowers you in your own eyes and in his! A guy worth having wants a self confident woman who is an asset to him in his life, not a liability. A whiny, needy, clingy girlfriend might be something he is glad to be rid of – so if you have done anything that appeared that way to him then stop now before any more damage is done.
If you have been talking to him, that’s OK, but keep it rare and brief – don’t let him think you are chasing him. Keep the conversation casual, ask how he is doing to show SOME interest but remember that you only want to keep him thinking and wondering about YOU.
Get A Life
Go out with your friends, maybe catch up with someone you neglected because you were always with your boyfriend.
Maybe now is a good time to try out a hairstyle you have been thinking about or shopping for a few new clothes or changing up your makeup.
Find things to do that will put a smile on your face; nothing is more attractive than a genuinely happy woman.
OK, here I am about to touch the “third rail” (the electric one on certain trains) of relationship help and advice: If you have put on a few pounds because he treated you well for a while, then now is a good time to get fit, eat right, exercise and get back to that shape you want.
If you are already there, then good for you; keep it up. Again, sometimes it isn’t as much about what he thinks of the way you look but the way YOU think you look. People who are self conscious of the way they look have a tendency to dress, act and even appear in ways that REPEL the opposite sex.
Now Get To It
