She thinks this because it is you pursuing her most of the time. She concludes (perhaps subconsciously) that a guy with high enough DMV (for her) would wait to be contacted over 50% of the time – “if he’s a high value guy, why would he do all the work?”
There are some situations when No Contact is not possible like you both are living together or have a child or work together in the same office. In this situation, you have to remember that the key to renew interest and attraction is to become a person with higher value.
Honestly thank you so much for your response. I’ve been in a heartache for so long and I want to improve my relationship with my ex boyfriend. Your perspective has really impacted my day and I can say I will take every word you’ve said for the rest of my life. Thank you.

I like to call this the Ex Boyfriend Cleanse. Think of it like a cleansing ritual where you are letting him go once and for all. By getting rid of all the things that have accumulated over your time together you are essentially telling yourself that you are ready to move on with your life and you don’t need him anymore and this is completely ok. There is nothing wrong with feeling like that.
The only way to have a good relationship is if you demand a good relationship from him. If you don’t, and give him everything he wants to make him want to stay with you, you’re sabotaging the relationship and destroying your chances with him.
Try to avoid seeing him at all, even when you’re hanging out with mutual friends. If you do catch yourselves at the same party, you don’t have to be rude to him, but you shouldn’t spend too much time talking to him.
I now find myself wondering what the best way forward is, although he has given me some hope by saying that he still wants to date and try and rekindle the spark he has also crushed any hope I have by moving further away from me and saying that ok ye we’ll date but it might not actually lead to our relationship being given another go. I now find myself in this weird limbo where I don’t really know what to do and crying on a daily basis! I have read your article and have found it very helpful. Could you advice what you think would be best to do? Thanks.
While Peter was suffering deeply, journaling in emails enabled Peter’s initial thoughts and feelings to flow through a natural grieving and healing process. Having a trusted friend or relative to talk with can help similarly. The first shock of a separation typically induces a reaction similarly to the disbelief and pain of loss that people experience after the sudden death of a loved one. Peter’s journal entries enabled him to dump, explode and vomit out his distress, launching his recovery process.
I, too was heartbroken. I was so mad at myself for being such a fool and I almost hated the world for being so unfair. I wanted to slap just anybody, and wanted to be alone for a while (thank goodness I have no suicidal tendencies). I was emotionally tortured that time. I was crying while at work. And every time I hear the sound of some familiar love songs I can’t help but cry my heart out. I wanted to move on. I wanted to forget him as soon as I can (if only it can happen the next morning when I wake up) but I couldn’t. Everywhere I looked, I saw him…there’s just too many memories and I thought i would go crazy trying to avoid them. That’s when I’ve realized that it’s not enough to just want to move on…I have to do something about it and fortunately I was successful! Let me share with you the things I did and I’m pretty sure it will help you too.
Hi, I and my ex boyfriend broke up about 7 weeks now. We’ve been together for 4 years. We had so many issues during in our relationship. We got engaged and eventually he changed his mind not to get married soon and told me he doesn’t want kids. It broke my heart. He also told me that culture differences is another problem between us. When we broke up I beg many times. He told he doesn’t want to go back in to our relationship and he wants us to move on. I stayed another 2 weeks with him while I am looking for a new place. we had sex a couple times. He told me he just want us stay as friends. When I moved out, he didn’t txt or call but when we each other we are fine talking like a friend. Is there anyway that i can win him back? that was the question i asked my sister and she told me he have had an encouter with the famous love doctor and i contacted him and he prayed for my relationship and my boyfriend came back to me and my relationship was restored and now we will be getting married soon. Please get to know him and ask for his help on (email@example.com). The love doctor is the best and will help you 🙂
Reason #3 – Increases Your Value: How many times you have heard people start giving value to things once they are gone. Similarly, your ex boyfriend will understand your value once he misses you. You have to reach that value and then your boyfriend will come to know how valuable you are in his life.
I had 3 month long relationship with a guy from a dating site. I have trust problems because of 20 year long marriage in which I was kinda abused. So that is why decided I did not want a serious relationship, only a friend with benefit type of thing. The guy was very polite. We had only kissing on first date and it took a while for him to even ask for it. Later I told him I did not want a serious relationship but it seemed he was hoping in it. We had very strong chemistry. After we had sex he was taken to hospital. It was crazy. I started to feel something however the plan was not that. I have decided to split up with him but someway I was not able. So we were keeping in touch for 1 month then he was released. I did not trust him. First I though even hospital was lie and then I discovered he was texting with others. I tried to get closer to him but he had walls. We had fights since I felt him cold, too rational therefore I got angry towards him and we had awful fights. We split up 3x but it started again. I emphasized that it was only about sex for me but he wanted sg more serious. Once I have seen him to chat with someone else for a long time. I asked him to tell me if he had someone else and let me go since it is too painful this way to me. He told me that there was no anyone else just he did not know where he stood with me since I was working against the relationship. Basically I think I did not know what I wanted and we had walls. Ok. I asked him to start it again. He asked for time and I promised time. So he messaged me but when I wanted to reply I saw he was chatting with someone again and got angry and attacked him. I said really really mean things. He switched off phone. I was thinking I might have hurt him deliberately because I was not brave enough to start sg serious and wanted to get rid of him instinctively. Next day I said sorry. I was feeling really awful about myself. I am not an evil person. But he did not read it (or yes but it was not displayed).

In most cases, a breakup is caused by the actions of both parties. Often it may seem like one person is completely at fault, but if you take the time to think about how you two have been relating to each other and the events leading up to the breakup, often you will find that there is in fact fault on both sides.
I know it feels good, yes, that’s a good sign and congratulations! But, it would be better if you finish 45, so that you don’t look like you were just waiting for him to act and then you jumped on the opportunity.
Not sure about this stiring of jealousy so to speak. I’ve tried to use a little bit of jealosy for my guy to realise I want him to call me as we haven’t spoken for days and also another time to make us ‘official couple’ and it backfired. As these events were near each other he exploded in once about both accusing me of being unloyal. Though my fault was that I simply sent him a screenshot of a guy (whom I talked to while we were on a break with him) who asked me out and I answered I’ve got back with my boyfriend. I said to my guy I was rejecting others while I didn’t even received responce from him. He got even more quiet and few days later after finally asking him was he angry about something he pushed me away saying he didn’t think it would work with me as I was chatting to others. He’s been hurt by an ex gf and is pretty much on the lookout for clues about unloyalty. Maybe for guys who are not that jealous yeah but I wouldn’t use this method any more!
If you think you will never be happy on your own and will only be happy with him, you’re setting yourself up for a big failure. Because what this means exactly is you are afraid that he might leave you for good, or that he has completely moved on with his life without you.
So i was dating my ex for 2 and a half years he told me that he always thinks theres someone out there better for him. What do i do i love and miss him so much. We never fought and i was so good to him. He said it was hard to let me go
Reconnect with loved ones and friends – Your relationship with your ex might have caused you to become isolated with your loved ones. That holds true, especially if your relationship is serious. Your break-up will free a lot of your time, allowing you to have enough to reconnect with your loved ones and friends. Start spending more time with them. After all, you need a strong support system during your trying time. Renew your friendship and bond with your loved ones but make sure that you do not talk too much about your break-up. Avoid the topic as much as possible even if you are spending time with your mutual friends.
I actually disagree with this perspective. In general, I think women should absolutely try to be happy and stop torturing themselves about the “what ifs”…but not for other men to be impressed (who gives a sh*t what other people think). Happiness is something a person can work on for themselves. Take this from a person who’s anxious often by nature. (I’ll drink a cup of coffee and the next thing I know I’ll be having a panic attack). I can’t always control how I feel , but I can have control over how I think…and that eventually does influence my moods.
Whatever message you want to send to him (whether it’s “I miss you and would love to get back together” or “stop texting me freak I want nothing to do with you”), you’ll find out the best way to say it in that article.
There is nothing you can do to undo what happened between you and your ex-boyfriend. You have to avoid focusing on the past and what might have happened. Stay focused on the present and understand that the relationship was unhealthy. You can start over and begin a new relationship that will be better and stronger.
And that’s just basic logic and human nature of guys being territorial. Right now he knows that he has you under his thumb. In his mind, you are too hung up on him, too broken over the breakup to have a life of your own and he views that as desperate and pathetic weakness. Oh HELL no missy. Back up. We can’t have that.
It’s been a week now and we still didn’t talk but my question is.. does he still love me or wants me back? He is looking at me several times but for short (said my friends to me) and he told the teacher that he doesn’t love me anymore and that i maybe don’t have the chance to get him back. So what should i do?
Every time you start obsessing about your ex, stop, ground yourself in the present by feeling your feet on the ground, listen to your breathing, be aware of the sights, smells and sounds around you. Start off doing this for 30 seconds and gradually build up the amount of time you can do this. You will start feeling more in control of your life, when you can take control of your thoughts.
That’s good Emily, initiate No Contact first and give both parties some space to let go of any negative emotions or thoughts. He may very well be serious about the possibility of working out, but that’s definitely not something that can be achieved right now.
P.S. A friend of mine found him back on Tinder and Badoo a week after we broke up, no idea if he was back there literally after we broke up. I know he’s probably chatting to some girls, maybe meeting up, but I don’t feel that that necessarily means he’s over me. I dunno, denial much? Help :/
Reward yourself for your positive path. Find simple ways to reward yourself. Pamper yourself for a bit. It does not need to be big or fancy. Maybe give yourself a spa day, or bake something that satisfies your sweet tooth. Do something that quantifies your love for yourself.
Your ex might still want to contact you even after breakup. If this happens, it will certainly make it harder for you to forget him. Be respectful but mindful of your needs. You can change your number (or block his), and delete his number from your contact list. If you memorized his number, you will really have to discipline yourself and do your best not to contact him.
While it’s important to remember the good times we might have had with our ex, it’s just as important to remind yourself of the bad times and consider the lessons learned. In the meantime, take our tips to heart—they’ll help you get through that post-break-up misery and get over him sooner! [otp_overlay]
