So deep breaths ladies. Time to put your big-girl panties on and take action. Put the ice cream away, shut off The Notebook and pay attention. You can win him back, but happily ever after is going to take some work on your part first.

We never stopped talking, we always stayed friends and our chemistry has always been so strong. I ended up breaking off my engagement and we continued to see each other. We were not exclusive per se but it would have been the case if I had not started seeing my ex fiancé again. My (on and off boyfriend) found out and completely cut me off. We have never went more than 2 weeks of not speaking (even while I was engaged) anyway- he stopped talking to me for 5 months. I would reach out and he’d never respond up until about a month ago I asked him how he was and he finally responded that he was well and then never responded when I told him how I was since he proceeded to ask how I was. I left him alone for a couple of weeks and started to accept It wasn’t going back to how it used to. He always came back.

This is a pretty fun topic for me personally because I’m married to my high school ex-boyfriend, and my college ex-boyfriend is my business partner, so I guess you could say I’m a real ex-back success story!

It doesn’t matter who broke up and why, you want him back no matter what. How do you get him back? What works, what doesn’t and why? Make sure you don’t mess up, or he might never want to hear about you again, let alone get back together. Here are 7 tips to help you make him love you more than ever.

Most relationship experts say to use the “no contact” rule for 30 days. But honestly, this is something that should vary between relationships. No one will be able to tell you exactly how long to cool down before you try to contact him, but just be sure again that you are cool and collected…and you’ll also want to make sure your ex is just as cool and collected. So take the time to do this. As much time as it takes.

Make a list of all the reasons why you deserve to be happy. This will keep you from feeling sorry for yourself. List friends, family, opportunities, and your general health. When you take stock of all that you have, you might feel better instantly.

Did you feel at ease, like you could be yourself? Or did you feel constantly stressed and anxious, always on edge? Did you feel judged, like you had to live up to some sort of expectation? Or did you feel seen and accepted? Did you feel like this relationship helped you grow as a person, or did it bring out the worst in you?

Build your own waterslide. Put a slippery tarp down in your backyard and keep the hose running. Slip and slide down the tarp like a bullet. If you do not have the necessary supplies to make your own slide, grab some friends and go to a water park.

I mean not to sound conceited but I’ve always been UG… I’m well travelled, well read. I run a successful business and have just launched a second. I write for fashion and music publications. I have an amazing lifestyle, with great family and friends. I have never let my physical appearance falter and I’m known for my sartorial fashion (both products of my modelling days). I’m not sure I can fit anymore into my life, other than my ex obviously lol.

To improve your self-esteem, concentrate on your strengths in all areas: emotional, social, talents and skills, appearance, and any others that are important to you. For example, you might have natural empathy, the ability to make people feel understood, a talent for baking, and gorgeous hair. Focusing on the positive and ignoring the negative can help you to feel adequate and valuable as an individual, especially when you connect the best parts of yourself to helping others.[10] If you feel useless, make yourself useful! Take your natural empathy and talent for baking and bake some fresh cookies for your elderly neighbors.

This quick video shows how one simple trick can change the way he currently sees you. Learn how to reverse your ex boyfriend’s negative thinking and get him to see you the way he did before, back when everything was magical and he couldn’t wait to be with you. Don’t miss this one!

Don’t just throw it in his face that you still love him and that you want him back. Be stronger than your emotions. Give the whole “getting back together” process some time; make a good foundation for that future you’ll build together.

Avoid laziness. The idle mind is the source of all misery. This is the time for you to try new things or do things you never thought you would have time to do. Force yourself if you have to. You’ll thank yourself later for having the tenacity.

Look, I know it’s tempting to reach out. Maybe you need more closure or maybe you saw something funny that reminded you of him, but don’t. Let it be. Let him go through his process and you go through yours. If there is a chance for it to work and there is unfinished business, he’ll realize it as well. But only if he has the space to do so.

Your ex might still want to contact you even after breakup. If this happens, it will certainly make it harder for you to forget him. Be respectful but mindful of your needs. You can change your number (or block his), and delete his number from your contact list. If you memorized his number, you will really have to discipline yourself and do your best not to contact him.

I had a pretty bad break up. After a long fight I asked my boyfriend to block me and and not recieve my calls, he did that immediately. After almost 10 days I realised that I love him and want him in my life. He is a egoistic person and doesn’t text or call first, but after almost 45 days he unblocked me on WhatsApp and keeps changing his do(which for him is unusual). I’m tempted to text him, but I’m not sure if I should.

I met a guy whilst on holiday in Egypt. He seemed really lovely and we saw each other every day and eventually went to his flat ad stayed there at night with him so we were spending 24 hours a day together. Hr said he loves me and wants to marry me I didn’t take it too serious but then I found I had called for him. On my last day he gave me his number and Facebook. When I got back to England I looked at his Facebook it was all women tourists which he has commented on their wall my love habibi and sending hearts to them. The two profiles I could see were a year ago these comments were made but I would not have gone there at all of I had of seen this to start with. He also had one for Arab friends. I went to finish it because I am 43 and he is 26 and I can’t be doing with the drama of Facebook. He never added me but said he would delete his facebooks it took him a couple of weeks but he did it. I said messenger as well because of all these women he had contact with. He said he would and he did. We have spoken everyday and night then hr started no messaging me at night his cousin told me he takes women out shopping at night for money so when he wasn’t messaging me he was doing that and he was saying no women. I made a fake profile of a woman who was gorgeous and he added her on messenger before he deleted it.It came to a massive argument he said I was jealous etc and he said he wanted to finish it. I did a terrible thing and emailed his work and told them he was taking women outside the hotel (they aren’t supposed to) and he got fired. When I got a response from the hotel they said this isn’t the first or last time it will happen that’s why he got fired. We still were speaker he was still telling me he loved me and messaging me but he was sad about loosing his job and I feel so guilty I just got sick of the lies (if they are lies) I was to meet his family and then we were planning to get married. I forgave him for all that because I know I can be jealous. I don’t know if it because I wouldn’t act like this when I have a boyfriend. Anyway a week ago he sent me a message saying I will need forgive you for loosing my job no work etc. Although I had sent money equilvilent to his monthly salary that he lost and said I would do it every month till he gets a job because his family rely on HIM for money. We had a n arguement he blocked me off wats app downloaded messenger again. I downloaded viber a day later and said I loved him he said he loved me and missed me and hr wasnt going to delete messenger although he says he wants this to speak to his family he has gone to see his family so I wander is he speaking to the women he had on Facebook? He hadn’t initially told his mom about me sending and email to his work bit has now told her she says I am bad and he isn’t to marry me he said loves me still I said I will leave him till he has got rid off messenger. He said OK I love you and that was three days ago. I read this article and feel better but I do miss him but do wander is it worth all the bother with this silly apps x

If you didn’t break up, you would never meet that next guy that will come along. Yes – he will come along – but only if you think positively. Open up yourself to new opportunities by looking at things from the right angle. Your heart is broken because you let it be broken. You can’t get over your ex – not because of him, but because of yourself – you do not let yourself get over him. Allow yourself to move on. It’s easier than you think.

Get in shape. Sitting around eating ice cream and chocolate is not going to accomplish anything, except maybe an extra 5-10 pounds. Instead of letting yourself go as you get over the breakup, get moving. Drop a few pounds and tone your body to make your ex jealous when he sees your improved physical shape.[4]

Treat your body to an exercise session and boost those endorphins. Whether your exercise choice is a run, yoga or a Pilates session, work out regularly. If those thoughts of your ex-boyfriend intrude at night, that exercise session will wear you out, making it easier to sleep, Cosmopolitan says.

Whatever you do, when you first text him, don’t bring up the relationship or the breakup. Don’t talk about how much you miss him, or that you want to get back together, or that you’re miserable that he’s not in your life.
