Then and there, don’t analyze, argue or talk about negative stuff. Turn the page. Keep walking in a new direction. It’s your ex-boyfriend that will become your new girlfriend, it’s you – his ex-girlfriend, that will become a new girlfriend. Give each other a clean slate. When you leave the place, don’t kiss. Give him a deep gaze, let your eyes, not your mouth say: I love you.

Some people say that time heals all…or if not all, at least calms folks down so that they have a shot of enjoying pleasant interactions again. If you’ve been apart only two weeks, it might be a good idea to relax and rejuvenate for a while before you try to reconnect.

The only way to truly gain the benefits of the no contact rule is to follow it all the way through. That means that if you broke the no contact rule, the only thing to be done is to start the no contact period over again.

Don’t forget to be yourself. It’s important to work on yourself to improve your relationship as long as both people are doing the work. But you shouldn’t change yourself completely just to fit some image of what your ex wanted from you. You should only change if you want to change, not just for him. Remember that he liked you for a reason originally, so if you change too much, he may not be able to recognize the girl he fell for.

And one month of knowing each other they are Living together and Engaged lol stupidly wow .She really did love me deeply and cared I’m Blocked on all the social media! Help me!! She has been stalking me through her boyfriend’s Facebook but I’ve now Blocked it lol

I think you do have a good enough reason. You already have the right attitude on how to approach this. Take things slowly, and have patience. Things are probably going to work out for you. All the best.

It has been almost 2 years and she seems farther away and ever. I have a hard time following the rules I did the 30 day no contact and all I got was I love you and I Miss you but you need 2 understand that I am trying to protect you. Having a hard time letting go of someone I love very much and thought that we could be together forever. Understand I’m not blaming her. Just a dumb guy didn’t realize what he had and pushed her away my heart is still for that. Pretty sure I have lost all chances or her return

You’re probably now feeling very defeated. Many of your tactics for keeping your girl sweet have unfortunately worked against you, and this leaves you asking, “So what the f*** do I do?! How can I get my ex-girlfriend back?”

Even though it can be easy to become obsessed with the idea of winning your ex boyfriend back, the last thing that you want to do is let it take over your life as it can just set you up for failure once again.

So, find out what messed up your relationship and work on it. Were you too cranky, moody, jealous, demanding, insane, nagging-all-day, not giving him his space and freedom, disrespectful, got fat, made out with another guy, or you just sucked in bed? Whichever it was – fix it. He needs to see that, after a month or so of breaking up, you are progressing; suddenly you became a different person. But do it for you, not for him. Once he sees how much different you became he’ll wish you never broke up in the first place, he’ll want to give the whole thing another chance too.

Honestly, it is hard to think of any disadvantages when using text messages. Texts are sacred, meaning that people rarely share them with anyone. Basically texting is super intimate. You can share cute pictures and do all sorts of really fun things. Not to mention it is impossible to raise your voice over a text message. However, I would say the biggest advantage to text messaging would be the fact that you can take your time and think everything through. This is something that calling on the phone won’t allow you.

For me, my ex-boyfriend and I broke up after four months – sweetly and amicably. The timing was off, and there were a few checklist items that each of us was missing. At the time, I really believed that he wasn’t the one for me, and that it was over. I’m glad that I believed that, because it allowed me to fully experience other relationships, explore what I really wanted, and grow. I’m also glad because eight months later, he and I got back together. And a year later, we’re happily married. (You can read the full story about our breakup and eventual makeup here!)

My ex and I dated 20 years ago, broke up and still randomly hooked up for 6 years. he had a girlfriend which became his wife. I eventually got married and was married for 10 years (verbally abusive, mentally abusive and emotionally distant husband). Recently my ex and I were in touch through social media. needless to say I filed for divorce and he had filed for divorce about 4 yrs ago. We are together now and soooo happy it was the best decision I ever made in my life!! With communication and trust you all can do it!

Hi Andilla, Definitely, I’ve seen this work to bring couples back together! That’s why I wrote the blog. This is the technique my dad, John Gray, has been teaching with success for over 30 years helping couples reunite. It’s not going to work for every relationship – but this is the step I recommend people take if you want your ex back. No one wants to get back into a relationship that doesn’t work…people want change, they want assurance of change so that they can trust you again and build something better. When it comes to friends with your ex? That depends on the relationship. :-)…

You could start with No contact and avoid making small talk with him for the time being. This article helps you deal with having to see your ex on a daily basis. Do that until you feel that you’re not as affected by things, and start with initiating a casual friendship to see if there’s still a spark, and whether the situation may be different this time compared to the previous relationship.

You love the person that you are with so much that you become unable to control your emotions and fall into a sort of emotional dependence to them. In other words you need their attention and validation in order to be happy or fulfilled on the day to day.

My ex texted me Merry Christmas on 23Dec, I replied Thank you. Later, he updated his status and unblocked his page to me. His status told me He’s sick, should take medicines – those I bought for him. I read all of the status and decided to let him go, that’s why I texted him Farewell, wished him all the best. He replied “thank you and he’s not with anyone now”. On receiving the messages, I started the NC since then. On 30Dec he texted me Happy New Year, I waited 1 day to check it and didnt respond. Since Christmas, I updated my page with fun and neutral info, showing how I enjoyed the holidays. On Jan2, he liked one of my status. I’m confused. I’ve been struggling before the no contact to live the life before him, now I still suffer. What should I do next? I once imagined my life without him, felt very bad and hurtful, but got to the point that I should accept it.

When you can let go of your relationship and accept the fact that at the moment you’re completely single, it will get rid of the root of any insecurity and empower you to bring positivity back into your life.
